YapLore analyses WhatsApp chats that you export to the app. This page explains what leaves your phone, what we keep and how to delete it.
Who we are

On your phone
The chat file you import is read on your phone, and all the free statistics are computed there. The chat file is not uploaded to our servers.
Premium analysis (18+, only if you choose it)
After you buy, confirm that you are 18 or older and agree, the app sends our server an extract of the chat: up to 700 selected messages in which phone numbers, email addresses, links and codes are masked on your phone, together with the statistics and the names or initials you chose. Our server sends it to Anthropic, whose Claude model writes the analysis, and returns the result to your phone.
We don't save the extract or the analysis in any database. The finished analysis stays in the server's temporary memory for up to 10 minutes, so a dropped connection doesn't make you pay for it again, and is then discarded. Anthropic processes the extract as our service provider; Anthropic states that, by default, data sent through its commercial API is not used to train its models, and it keeps that data according to its own retention policy.
What our server keeps
- A random account identifier created by the app, not linked to your name, phone number or email.
- For each single-chat purchase: a fingerprint of the chat it unlocked (a SHA-256 code computed from the chat, which cannot be turned back into the chat), so the chat stays unlocked.
- Daily counters (how many analyses each account ran, the day's total AI cost) and codes derived from IP addresses to limit abuse: they are deleted after a few days.
- Cards and casts you choose to share: only what is written on them, for 30 days, plus anonymous reaction counts.
- Technical logs without chat text or analysis results (for example errors, response times, costs).
Who processes data
- Anthropic: writes the premium analyses.
- Cloudflare: hosts our server and the shared links.
- RevenueCat, Apple and Google: handle purchases and subscriptions. They receive the random account identifier, not your chats.
Shared links
Anyone who has a link can see that card or cast. Names appear as you chose them (initials by default). Links stop working after 30 days.
Delete everything
In Settings, Delete everything erases the data on your phone and, on our server, the chat fingerprints of your purchases and the links you shared. Purchases already used stay used, so the same purchase cannot be spent twice: the chats they unlocked will need to be unlocked again.
Age
You must be at least 13 to use YapLore. The AI premium analysis is only for people aged 18 or over: the app asks you to confirm it, and our server refuses premium requests without that confirmation.
